How Hot is it in a Tanning Bed?
Does it just feel like your laying on the beach, or does it feel like your in an oven?

Depends on whether or not you go into a regular or advanced bed and whether or not someone used it before you. It also depends on how new or old the bulbs are and how long you choose to stay in. Ten to fifteen minutes is nice, but twenty minutes can get really hot sometimes.
With a fan circulating air around you its much like a warm beach, unless you are in too long and begin to burn. Follow the directions for your skin type and be careful of pushing it….you may not feel a burn until after you exit the bed.
I just started tanning after many years today. I know it’s bad for you, but I am going to Vegas in a month and don’t want to scare the natives. :)
I find it to be like a very warm beach, and it’s so relaxing. If you’re concerned, check to make sure your salon has beds with fans. you can control. You can actually be a little chilly if you turn them up too high.
Some salons actually have beds with air conditioning now. You usually have to pay a little extra for the beds with a/c, however almost all beds have fans. It’s a little warmer than being on the beach, but not too bad. The worst is when they put new bulbs in, then it gets pretty toasty. Once you’ve gone a few times, though, you’ll know when/if you’re going to burn.
