What do you think of Nas' "Black President" song?
I mean do you agree with Nas on this? Do you agree on Tupac’s line, “As though it seems heaven sent, we ain’t ready to have a black president”? Was Tupac ahead of his time by saying this? What do you think of the song period?
Here’s the song:

i love this song. It has a meaning because everything he is saying is true, but that tupac line is from another song.
We would be ready for a black president if we didn’t keep pointing out how different he was. We wouldn’t have songs like these if everyone would stop reminding us how racist we are. STFU already!
Well we do have these songs, and how are people who sing songs about our President reacist? Aren’t most people who sing songs about our President black?
@TheTips2 : I don’t know if that was directed at me, but that’s not in the least what I said. I said we wouldn’t need songs like these if racial differences weren’t crammed down our throats on a daily basis. Children aren’t born racist, so how do we get that way? Our parents and culture tell us we are different. I, for one, would like to get past this BS so race can truly be a non-issue. I think one way to begin that process is to eliminate entertainment that glorifies race in one way or another.
Well race will always be a factor in our society.
Always a factor, yes, not a problem!
I love anyone who can put such words together about anything!
