What do you think happens after we die?
For those of you who do believe there is something after death, what do you believe it is? and if you are up to it, maybe why you think so. I don’t really want to spark any religious debates, I just wondered what people think, if it lines up with traditional christian views, if you have different ideas, reincarnations, etc.

Well, we don’t smell as good as we used to.
Very simply, if trauma to the head, brain damage can affect intellect and memory, then total decay is going to mean the end of it all. It isn’t as though we were “Backed up” like a computer system, when our CPU runs out of memory, we have ended.
All I know is that I don’t know…
I’m pretty sure I will decompose most righteously after my burial. After that, I suspect my soul will go up to Heaven as opposed to going down to Hell. If there are such places that is and no one really knows for sure. This is all speculation too so I’ll venture that I might even get lucky and be reincarnated.
well, what i know is that after u get burried. ure gonna decompose and then sent to heaven or hell according to ure deeds…so do good deeds :p
**sings** The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out…
You decompose, and your matter is recycled into other organic substances. As for consciousness, when your neurons stop firing, you are no longer conscious.
I think the exact same thing happens as before we were born.
I hate thinking about this by the way…
I love thinking about it.
Nothingness is the only thing in the world that really scares me…
You become worm food but your DNA lives on through your children and theirs.
(And your spouse cashes the life insurance check.)
You get to have sex with lots and lots and lots of virgins
@brettvdb, I hear that number gets smaller and smaller every year.
Nothing happens, you’re just dead. The End.
I’ll worry about that trip when I’m done with this one.
Not sure but. Hope to see my mother and dad in heaven.
