@johnpowell Doesn’t count. Stifler wishing he was dead after his “pale ale” doesn’t count either.
No one died in:
Meet the Fockers
Moonstruck
Parenthood
Keeping the Faith
Star Wars
Oh wait, check that last one…
no one dies in The Goonies
Juno
Dazed and Confused
Valley Girl
Bambi!
oh…wait a minute…fuck!
Ultimately no. All talent involved with the movie must eventually face their demise. That’s just life.
The Sound of Music
42nd Street
Birdcage
Frankenstein
Fiddler on the Roof
(Most musicals)
My dinner with Andre.
When Harry Met Sally.
and lots more.
@The_Compassionate_Heretic- I’m sorry to tell you this but animated characters aren’t real and their voices are provided by actual, and very mortal people.
Most movies have no deaths.
If you’re speaking specifically of Disney movies, I don’t think anyone dies in Beauty and the Beast.
No one died in Bolt that I cam remember, or Harold and Kumar escape from Gitmo.
what about Grease…?
Dirty Dancing?
@cyndihugs There was an abortion in dirty dancing.
Is it my computer or has skfinkel been crafting a response to this question for approximately 5 hours?
@SuperMouse 4 hours 33 minutes to be exact. I’m a bit worried.
@AstroChuck Whether or not Gaston survived the fall into the moat is never confirmed either way.
@Supacase
Gaston was subsequently vanquished by his arch enemy, Suiseiseki, desu.
No deaths:
Mary Poppins
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Sixteen Candles
The Breakfast Club
Home Alone
Back the Future the directors claim that no one dies, but I swear that in part 3 Mr. Strickland / the sheriff gets shot…
Wimbledon
Mama Mia!
A Christmas Story
Check all the Rambo films…..
I don’t mind people dying, but the vomiting drives me crazy, when did it become entertainment to watch someone puke???
Sorry I didn’t answer your question, but it made me think of this!
And I can’t think of a movie where no one dies.
Thirteen, sisterhood of the traveling pants, cars, the lucky ones, forgetting sarah marshall, vicky cristina barcelona…(and those are just the files I can currently see sitting on my desktop, i’m pretty sure there are tons and tons and tons).
My gut feeling tells me this applies to the majority of movies. Maybe someone has done a statistic on the subject.
Lost in Translation. Cars. Young Frankenstein. The Truman Show. Ghostbusters. Napoleon Dynamite. Rushmore. The Incredibles.
Toy Story, Might Aphrodite, Picture Perfect, Murderball
Behind The Green Door, Deep Throat, The Violation Of Claudia, Debbie Does Dallas…
@adreamofautumn —There’s definitely a death in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It’s the whole reason why I like the movie.
My favorite and classic Pretty in Pink!
the science of sleep. i think
I think Thank You For Smoking only has implied deaths. Lots and lots and lots of them! Does that count?
