Anyone know anything about drug companies stopping vitamins from being given at therapeutic doses?

Asked by skfinkel (13542points) December 27th, 2007

I heard on the radio yesterday that vitamin K was better and safer than cummadan (sp?) but since no one would make money on it, cummadan was prescribed. Vitamin K sounded like an amazing substance. What do we ever hear of it?

If vitamin K were found to be either a needed substance or useful therapeutically, it would be approved and manufactured.
