How do I make my cotton jute rug lie flat after it has been tightly rolled up for a long time?
It was delivered rolled up and I can’t get the “wrinkles” to come out of it when it lies flat.

I haven’t had this problem but try hanging it (eg from a ledge or on a curtain rod) to let gravity ‘pull out’ the wrinkles. This technique works well with audio cables, but may /may not work with jute rugs.
Whenever I see rugs in stores they’re hanging.
When some of my rugs started to curl up at the corners, I turned them upside down for several weeks. Gravity did the rest.. These were wool or cotton rugs and I don’t know whether jute will reverse its curves. Can’t hurt to try.
you can ask try carpet tape-available at most hardware stores. It is double-sided tape designed to keep rugs from slipping on floors; seeing the thickness of jute rugs online I’m thinking your wrinkles are pretty substantial; but gail’s suggestion seems good too.
I love this site!!! Thanks for the answers so far.
ur welcome luv tha fluth too :)
If none of these good ideas work, try this: unroll the rug, get it damp, not very though,
flip it over so it’s trying to roll up upside down; then take the largest-diameter cardboard carpet tube you can find (like from a dumpster behind a carpet store) and re-roll it in the opposite direction from the one it wants to be in. Keep it warm and dry and unroll it in a day or so.
