If you believe in ghosts can you tell me this?

I would say there are a few answers to this question.

1. First, not all spirits are here because of tragedy. It is only one possibility. Of course according to your example that would just add more spirits, haha.
2. Second point is probably the most important to your question. That is not everyone who experiences a tragic death would stick around. Only a few. What determines this? Well heck who knows. That would depend on your personal, cultural, or religious belief system.
3. My Third point would be that in cases such as mass tragedy the place the tragedy occurred can become overwhelmed with a negative energy field. It doesn’t necessarily mean all the souls/spirits are trapped there but it’s just the resonant energy of that tragedy that has remained at that location. Some believe that such strong energy can cause odd happenings making people believe a spirit is there.
4. Even if all the tragedy victims were spirits/ghosts it does not mean we would all have the ability to see them or detect their presences. So I suppose it could always be a possibility.
5. Oh I just thought of another I’ve heard. And that is the possibility that these spirits are on a different plane of existence than us. Only sometimes does the veil reveal this existence allowing us to see the spirits. So billions could live in this different existence and we would only be privy to it whenever the veil is so lifted to reveal whatever it reveals.

Of course it all depends on your belief system wherever it comes from. But this is some information I have picked up about the topic.

@Saturated_Brain Yes it could be, the thing is that only catholic theology accepts the Purgatory. Protestant churches don’t believe in it, so their explanation could be that ghosts don´t exist but demons do. They are the ones who torment people.
Personally, I don´t believe neither of them.

For some “spirits”, Their murderer or whatever was put to justice and now they are free to move on. That is the way it is in the movies.

I believe in Ghosts. I believe in their non-existence.

Sigh… I find it kinda funny… I find it kinda sad… And it’s a mad world we live in.. Why do we need ghosts to complicate the matter?

I think that paranoia is the only “ghost”.

I just think that there are things that we will never be able to explain. Ghosts are one of them.

@Saturated_Brain I did not try to put Catholics vs Protestants, In fact, I think the catholic church don’t accept the whole ghost idea, I was talking about Purgatory.

Personally, I don’t know. if there were ghosts, then presumably they would have unfinished business on earth.

It seems to me that there should be a lot of ghosts out there running around in the nude. I am sure that we all agree, that all humans have a spirit. According to believers, a ghost is the spirit of the dead. Clothing does not have a spirit so how do you explain clothing worn by a ghost? I am sure that someone will come up with some dumb answer to support a nonexistent theory. Do they all go to the same ghost clothing store? Do they have a choice in color and style? The people that believe in ghost are saying in essence that a ghost has power over God. When in fact they do not have a choice as to where they go ofter death. God is the author of life and death and His word tells us, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
