General Question

Well, this is interesting. Need your help interpreting this dream?

Asked by Jude (32207points) June 20th, 2009

A spider was somehow attached to the top of my eyebrow and there was only one way to get her off (kill her), but, no one knew how to do it. People kept trying to pull the legs off and some did come off (which got the spider even more pissed off). Grabbing a hold of her and pulling would only cause her to suction back onto you and then she would lay some eggs. Wtf?

It sounds like it may have looked like a spider but It is not a spider- it is a tick.
Perhaps there is something in your life draining your energy and trying to take over some aspect of your life.

@Dog, now that I think about it, you’re right, it was a tick. It was a large tick.

Something or someone is sucking the life out of you. The more you try to escape, the harder they will cling.

Pulling or burning them off will kill them and scar you.

Best to simply change the flavor of your life essence to one that is distasteful to them. They will eventually leave you by their own accord.

In my belief system spiders are tricksters.

When a spider appears it is messing with you but simultaneously bringing you an important message. This is especially true in the dream world because it is a connection with our spirit self.

What would a spider be teasing you about? Is there some current problem in your life that you keep failing at? Perhaps it is trying to tell you that you are going about this all wrong and you need to do something different. I say this because in your dream you keep trying to remove the problem but you just aren’t doing it “right”. In the end it seems quite humurous but still frustrating. The problem also gets worse by continually trying the “wrong” solution (i.e. laying of eggs).

I think that @RedPowerLady and @RealEyesRealizeRealLies have made very good suggestions. I would add to @RealEyesRealizeRealLies’ idea that the entity sucking the like out of you is yourself. From what I’ve seen of your questions and apparent concerns, I think this might be on target. You appear to be concerned with depression and relationship issues both with friends and lovers and with your family.

I think this dream might be indicating a franticness in your way of dealing with these issues, and suggesting that the way you are approaching it isn’t working. The people trying to pull the spider or tick off, could be flutherers that offer you advice. The advice isn’t working. I suspect it’s because you are fighting the spider/depression/tick, instead of accepting it as a part of yourself. Maybe the dream is telling you that you can’t kill that spider without killing yourself.

You got to live with it. If you fight it, it’ll just lay eggs and spread. The way out of your problems is to learn about what they give you, and accept those gifts, and move on to do what you want.

Ah shit. I don’t mean to tell you what’s going on like I know what’s going on. It’s just a perspective on the dream and what I’ve seen and intuited about you. I don’t really know you at all. I could be totally wrong. Don’t take it too seriously. I think I did.
