Did Aaron Sorkin have anything to do with the last three seasons of the West Wing?

Asked by serenityNOW (3643points) June 20th, 2009 from iPhone

The 1st four seasons of the West Wing were brilliant. One huge component was Aaron Sorkin. He got fired after season 4, but when I watch the later episodes I feel like I’m still seeing some of the echoes of his writing. Anyone know?

It’s hard to tell, wikipedia says: “For the first four seasons, the executive producer was Aaron Sorkin, who worked with Thomas Schlamme. After Sorkin left the program, he was replaced by John Wells.”
