i work at a software company and i know that a lot of people here (including myself in many cases) swear by newegg.com when building/upgrading/adding computer components.

I think you have to look at a few places sometimes. My 2 favorites are Newegg.com and Tigerdirect.com. Usually newegg.com has the better deals, but sometimes I can find something better on Tigerdirect.com.

I second that. All of the components that I’ve bought have been newegg or tigerdirect. Nothing else is worth it.

Newegg.com and Pricewatch.com seem to be the most popular. I don’t know about “the best”.

I have bought all my computer components from ebay because its so cheap (e.g. i got my 1gb memory stick from eBay for $20 where as it costs about $42 on newegg)

newegg.com is where I’ve built my 2 systems from

@ mirza, I just bought a 1gb memory [ram] stick from newegg for 20$ ? guess it depends on what kind of memory you’re looking for

@perchik: i do agree newegg has some great deals. The memory i got retails for $29 (plus shipping) at newegg
