And if you don’t mind, please provide your age with the answer. I think there is likely a difference based on what the fashion world has dictated for men.

Let me know when we start talking about women’s chests. There I have more expertise. ;)
I suppose you could let us know if you prefer your own chest to be hairy or smooth! Otherwise, please do let us know if you prefer women’s chests to be hairy… Hey! To each his own!
It’s all about my chest hair.
No, I don’t like hairy women. And yes, I am quite hairy myself, which some women seem to find sexy, but others don’t like it at all. I think most don’t really care either way though. At least that’s what they say anyway.
I can’t stand really smooth hair but by the same token I don’t want a gorilla. A little hair is a turn on for me.
I meant to say I can’t stand a really smooth chest!
Hahaha I’m of the wrong gender but let’s say that if I were to do anyone the smoother the better. I’m one who thinks that hair just blocks the feeling of skin against skin.
Show me the man first. On a man I’m only mildly attracted to by clothes on view only, I’m probably going to imagine him with light body hair. On a man I’m highly attracted to then it’s not going to matter once I finally see him undressed.
I’m going to take the liberty to answer this question.
Smooth. A little hair isn’t a deal breaker…but I don’t like much hair in general. Hair belongs on your head and legs. Anywhere else, get rid of it.
For me the only part of the body where I tolerate the presence of hair is on the head. The one that houses the brain.
I’m a grown up (read >35) and like @Facade I say either or – with the disclaimer that gorilla like body hair is a turn off.
Here are some answers, including mine, from just last week.
Smooth. I’m 25. Also probably important to note that I grew up in a culture where men are pretty smooth everywhere except their heads where they often have exceptionally long hair.
For the past 20 years I have preferred smooth, because my husband is of Asian descent. He had 10 chest hairs until his heart surgery, when the scar wiped out 7 of them. Before that I had one serious boyfriend for about 5 years who had hair everywhere except on the top of his head, and I liked his hair.
The real answer here is that chest hair, present or absent, does not matter at all. It’s the guy that turns me on, not his pelage.
My husband has a very hairy chest. I like it, hairy chests are sexy. He actually has more hair on his chest than on his head, poor guy.
I’m 20, and I don’t have that much of a preference, but I don’t like guys that are overly hairy. I don’t mind a little fuzz to fluff though. I try to roll with the punches.
and there goes my last chance of ever getting naked with McGhee…
@Jack79: Well, I definitely make special exceptions for flutherites ;)
I like there to be more than none but not a sweater. Just that right amount. That animal-like fur….RAWR!
I’m 22 and I like some hair. Completely smooth creeps me out.
Some hair is okay, but when it comes to looking like a fur coat, no way! Especially on the back & shoulders. If he wouldn’t wax & KEEP it waxed, it’d be a deal breaker for me. I’m that repulsed by it.
I’m more turned on by the ones with breasts..
I’m 24 – ideally, I like a little smattering of hair… if I had to choose between lots of hair or no hair, I’d choose none.
i’m not big on body hair. it just grosses me out for the most part. but i’m 16, so that probably has something to do with it. it’s not a deal breaker, really – though excessive hair just kind of freaks me out – but i normally prefer guys with smooth chests. it’s not exactly the most important factor though, even as far as physical appearance goes.
