Wikipedia is always worth reading. It’s a great place to get information, as long as you keep an open mind and make sure to check certain claims before adopting them and proclaiming them as well.

Yes, the wikipedia article is fascinating. But the real answer to the question is that the song doesn’t say “no one” cares, just that “I”, meaning the singer of the song, “don’t care.”
