Travel advice - Belize vs. St. Martin?

I’m planning a trip for this summer. I’m looking at Belize—a few days in ambergris caye, a few days in the jungle, both at nicer-end resorts—but a friend recommended a resort on the french side of st. Martin. For this particular trip, we’re looking for relaxation and just enjoying ourselves.

Hi, welcome to the collective. It really depends on the type of person you are.

If you like nature and outdoor activities with your relaxation, I think you would prefer Belize, which has wonderful reefs and a rain forest. (Both of those would be big sellers for me.)

With St Martin/Saint Maarten, there is casino nightlife and shopping and beaches.

I know my husband went to St. Martin for vacation once. He said it was a lot of fun. I think anything in the Carribean can be relaxing if you make it that way.
