Do you know of a site or organization that rates travel packages?

I’m still trying to plan my trip to Costa Rica for this winter and it almost seems like there are too many choices. I don’t have the money to go “top of the line” but I also don’t want to get stuck on a cattle-car tour (gobs of people being herded around in a crowd). All of their testimonials are glowing – but then, they would hardly post negative comments. Is there a site that rates packages?

Don’t know, but you could go to a Barnes and Noble. take aa look at guide books for Costa Rica and see if they rate or discuss any of the tour packages. Also, ask the company how many people are in each group and what rating the hotels they use have. You could try Tripadvisor.com; I’m not sure if they rate packages or not but they might. Good luck!

Try Fodor’s Budget Travel or The Rough Guide. Both have websites and both cater to your kind of traveller.
