Guys: Does it bother you at all when a girl refers to to you or something you did as "cute"?
I was in bed with my girl the other day and she refered to my legs as “cute”. I mean it’s nice that she thinks that but I don’t want my legs to be “cute”. Can anyone relate to this?

hnm now that’s a little awkward but like for other things I don’t mind like my hair for example.
Nah.
EDIT: UNLESS SHE’S TALKING ABOUT MY PENIS
Yeah that’s a great example, you wouldn’t want to have a ‘cute’ penis right?
Well… Erm…
Nah, I wouldn’t care, honestly.
I’ll let you know if it ever happens.
@Blondesjon Come on…the pm about your cats was cute. (It just had to be me.)
And guys, cute is a compliment. To women (generally) cute is endearing, it leads to affection and the desire to care for something/someone. Cute can be good. If she said the sweater you are wearing makes you look cute, you might want to rethink the sweater.
@tinyfaery yup, and I’m fine with those kinds of things
Can a guy have a “cute” erection?
Maybe if it had a Santa hat on. Just sayin’.
Nope. A positive statement is still a positive statement.
“Cute” is a condescending term.
It’s used when the woman in the situation is trying to tell you something is inadequate without bruising your ego.
Ladies: The attempt is appreciated, but if you don’t have anything nice to say, just say it already!
@boots That’s a good point. Mine calls my butt cute, but it’s not. It’s actually pretty hairy. I mean I bike a lot so it’s firm enough, and I suppose it feels cute, but I think of cute in terms of looks. Does a hairy butt look cute? I can post a picture, see what you guys think?
Depends on the context.
In a patronizing way “cute” can be very annoying.
But in other contexts it is cool.
@cprevite. . .I always thought you were cuddly.
only thing I’d freak out about is if someone called my wedding tackle cute… that would not be cool… anything else, meh whatever. it’s just a word.
edit: if a woman is being patronizing it’s the same as any other word you could use, being on the receiving end of something like that sucks regardless. but if she’s saying it’s cute because she really does think it’s cute, then it’s no big deal.
No, cute is good. I like cute.
