2 and it will say so on the stick of butter that 1 stick = 1/2 cup
2, most of them are labeled.
One caveat: Two if there are four sticks in the pound. On the west coast, they have short sticks that are only a quarter cup.
Every stick I have ever seen on the west coast is half a cup. From my fridge
Sorry about the bad pic. But taking a pic of a stick of butter is hard.
@Marina We do NOT have short sticks on the West Coast! oh you mean butter
Our W Coast butter is shorter, yes, but it’s also fatter. And that’s what counts. Think about it.
Chode butter? Gross. We have blocks down this way – not sticks!
@filmfann and susanc Great! Thanks for the chuckles.
