Are 'wet dreams' real?
I’m 33 and have never had a wet dream. I have had sex in dreams but never to the point where I would wake up with my bed wet. I usually wake up just before things get really good. Do people, mainly adults, have wet dreams? Do they really wake up in their own ejaculate? How can I do this too?

Totally real.
now why you feel you’re missing out on waking up stuck to your sheets is an entirely different matter altogether.
Inititilally I thought…. well not having had a wet dream… ever… you must be a wanker.
On reading up in the link above, however, I was surprised that what I have been told by my friends isn’t true. Wet dreams are not proven to be caused by a lack of masturbation. There goes my excuse out of the window.
Thank you for bringing up this question! :-/
In any case, since it seems there is no conclusive cause, then there is likely no real way to induce them either.
But like @eponymoushipster suggested… would you not rather be awake when the moment is there?
@whitenoise No, not a wanker. I don’t know. Just being that I’ve never had them makes me curious to have one.
@syz That link is interesting as it says males have these wet dreams. So I take it women don’t?
@eponymoushipster Hmmm. Good point. I didn’t think that deeply into matters.
@Deepness sure women have wet dreams. it’s called shoe shopping.~
Only if there is a wet spot when you wake up.
@aprilsimnel note that you didn’t refute what i said, just highlighted it. :)
This should answer some of your questions.
The creepy thing with that video (teen boys talking about wet dreams) is, whomever posted it has a Michael Jackson avatar.
@jmah creepy or very very honest.
No, they’re not real, just dreams…but they do happen (just not often enough)!
@AstroChuck thanks for the Kip Adotta link, that’s one of my favorite comedians.
Yep. My husband actually had one just about a month ago when I was sick for like a week and couldn’t put out as much as he’s used to. It made me feel guilty so I had to catch up for lost time. Now I’m knocked up.
@eponymoushipster – Well, I can’t refute that statement for myself, at any rate.
Yes, wet dreams for males are mos def real, @Deepness. I’m surprised that the football coach or whomever didn’t tell you about them in 7th grade health class.
@aprilsimnel haha, football coach.
“listen up, men. you’re gonna experience a…uh….uhm..discharge…anduh….LAPS. let’s run laps! yes!”
Oh, yeah! It only happened to me once. I was about 19 years old. Strangely, I was dreaming about a person I wouldn’t have ever consciously considered to have sex with. Needless to say, I did learn a lesson about myself that night and also opened up to that subconscious fetish about 6 years later. It was quite enjoyable.
I am 38 years old and have never had a wet dream either.
i have slept walked drunk and pissed down the hallway though
They are very real, and it is possible to cause them.
@aprilsimnel No, my 7th grade gym teacher never told us about wet dreams. I was never on any sports team as I didn’t begin playing sports or becoming athletic until my mid 20’s. Neither did they teach us anything about it in sex ed class, which btw, was called health & hygiene.
Women do have erotic dreams to the point of orgasm. Especially when pregnant.
@AstroChuck, that is amazing.
I’ve never had one. Never had a friend mention having one either, but that’s something I wouldn’t expect them to mention anyway.
Clearly made up, like the moon landing and women on the internet.
I had one just a few nights ago. It was different, though. No dream was associated with it. I just woke up sticky with a good feeling. :-\
They are very real – and they happen to Women too… ;)
i don’t think you are missing out on much :-)
as i recall (long time ago now of course) it always ended in lots of extra washing…
a dream is a dream whether it produces something physical at the end or not, by which i mean really that all dreams are real to me…
