The Hattori Hanzō sword from Kill Billl. Hands down.
The Dude’s rug from The Big Lebowski
Yes, even with the pee on it.
This is a great question, but there are so, so many possibilities. I know I was completely obsessed with many of the sets from The Golden Compass.
What a great q, I’d want the invisibility cloak from Harry Potter
Of course, the most obvious answer to this question is a lightsaber from Star Wars.
@figbash, I was going to say an alethiometer. ;-)
When I was seven or eight, I wrote Harrison Ford and asked him for Indy’s whip.
I’d like the One Ring that was melted in the fires of Mount Doom. I want the inscription to show, too.
@Jeruba in the meantime, you can borrow Jack79’s
I’d want my very own Ent.
!!! Maybe that’s the one he has! Maybe the 100 cops couldn’t catch him because he was invisible! Well, if he’s already got it, I’ll take the pair of Brownies from Willow.
@Jeruba well if it so, he’s not giving it to you until all the court cases are through
I want Steve McQueen’s Mustang from Bullitt.
This ensemble would be great. Hair included.
The Jumanji board game
Indiana Jones’ hat
The cigars from Independence Day
The bike from ET
Much, much more
The ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz.
@chyna . . .Just try and stay out of my way. Just try! I’ll get you, my pretty and your little dog too!
I can’t find a picture of it, but I would love the camel hair coat and hat Al Pacino wore in The Godfather Part II when Michael went to see Kate and she told him about the baby. Either that or the gun he used to kill Polazzo and the police lieutenant in Part I.
the deep space nine model
Oh I just thought of another one! I would love to have Duncan McLeod’s katana!
The house from Nanny McPhee
The sasquach costume from Harry and the Hendersons. That would provide much fun
The Ghostbusters proton pack and the car to go with it
The car in Back to the Future.
@tyrantxseries you get that, and I’ll get the giant Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man!
I get the demon in the painting
I’d like original Alice in Wonderland character or scene sketches.
V’s mask from V for Vendetta.
The painting Bad Route by Miguel Calderon (from The Royal Tenenbaums).
There are probably so many better choices, but that’s what comes to mind first.
The red Swingline stapler from Office Space.
Nemo
Seriously it would be one of Indiana Jones’ other hats he had a lot.
I have a copy of the Maltese Falcon, but the origional would be great.
And the Ring of Power! One ring to rule them all!
I would like the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars please. (I have a big yard)
Mary Poppins’ carpet bag. The umbrella would be nice, too.
The film clip from Singin’ in the Rain that R.F., the studio head, used to show the new “talking pictures” to guests at his premiere party:
“Hello! This is a demonstration of a talking picture. Notice, it is a picture of me and I am talking. Note how my lips and the sound issuing from them are synchronized together in perfect unison!”
“It’s vulgar!”
Idk, that ring seemed to be a whole lot of trouble…too much walking….if I were going to go with LOTR then i’d prob go with that invisible cloak frodo had, or my own personal giant eagle.
^missing the Y chromosome^
The leg lamp from Christmas Story. So much loving memories!
@chyna, awww as soon as I saw this question I thought “ruby slippers ruby slippers!”. Can we share?
The shoes Tim Curry wore in Rocky Horror.
Clint Eastwood’s .44 Magnum pistol from the movie “Dirty Harry” would be a cool souvenir. For me anyway. Or for a gun fanatic although I’m not one of those.
Either the big dragon from Never Ending Story OR any of Barbra Streisand’s outfits from Hello Dolly (actually, I would be happy with anything Barbra Streisand had touched in any of her movies!)
Hedwig – I would love to have an owl instead of e-mail!
You can buy the leg lamp. I’ve seen it.
One of Jurrassic Park’s raptors. Or anything that Stan Winston ever made.
The baby from Rosemary’s Baby. Too cute!
my dream car from y tu mama tambien
or maybe these giant hands from the science of sleep
i’m going to stop myself from making a ‘you know what they say about big hands…winkwink’ joke
also I want Neo’s long black jacket from the Matrix
Oh, I will want one of those long black coat the aliens were wearing in Dark City.
@ckinyc
Or what most people realize as the Matrix. I wonder if Alex Proyas, Lem Dobbs and David S. Goyer, actually got credit for the concept which the Matrix obviously copied. Neo is obviously a John Murdoch character as “savior” who breaks down the machine which the aliens use to control the masses by going head to head with mental telekinetic power. Also, the dark inner city retro locales. The cinematography and everything.
Favorite line, aliens commencing to “turn off” the city:
“Shut it down!”
@SeventhSense. And the green running text “The Matrix” is an exact copy from a Japanese anime.
I might have to go with batmobile
I really want an Alfred (from Batman) but I don’t think he counts as a prop. :(
It might be fun to have the Pontiac Trans Am from the movie “Smokey and the Bandit”. At least until I wrack up several speeding tickets that is.
@ckinyc its funny ive seen ghost in the shell a million times, but i never really thought about that till you said it heh.
If you go with The Matrix, I think ‘the construct’ would be the best choice, if that counts.
