Hard ball like thing on the joint of my middle finger?
my finger was kind of hurting so i rubbed it and i felt a little ball underneath the skin. sort of like a bb but a little smaller, and when i relax my finger you can sort of see it sticking out. im just wondering what it might be and if i should be worried..

Give it a day. If it’s still concerning you tomorrow, you might consider consulting a dermatologist. It might just be a wart. Wash your hands frequently.
is it a bone bump or a skin bump of some kind?.... does it hurt at all?
its like a hard ball under the skin of my finger. like where the base of your finger joins the palm. it doesnt hurt when i touch it or anything.
Does it move when you push on it, or does it seem to be attached to bone?
im pretty sure its not attached to the bone. it seems to move a little bit. i dont really wanna play around with it.
As long as it doesn’t hurt, I’d follow @The_Compassionate_Heretic‘s advice. If it doesn’t go away in a day or so, get it checked out.
Sounds like a ganglion cyst , a tough little sack of fluid that occurs in a joint of the hand or wrist. Perfectly harmless, though sometimes a bit annoying. It may shrink away on its own, but til then, feel free to play with it :)
It could be a calcium deposit. I had one of those in joint between my pelvis and upper leg bone a few years ago. It went away, but I had to have a round of physical therapy for it.
I’d imagine physical therapy for your finger would be more like the Headcrusher’s. :)
@Harp What harp said. If it’s not stuck to the bone it’s “probably” not a calcium deposit or anything bone related. Since it’s under the skin it’s probably not a wart of some kind. A cyst of some kind does sound about right.
I had one on my little finger, which went away after about a year, and now have one on my index finger. Weird.
Your finger is rubbing against your game controller.
