suck it iPhone? :o * faints *
Actually I read a post on Engadgets blog that said how you could view email in landscape mode by typing a simple word. I’ll find it for you.
1) Don’t be so sure iTunes syncing will last. ( source )
2) It cuts cheese
3) I don’t know. Try this guide.
Now look at that! 3 whole posts without somebody insulting your decision…
Okay I found a way to view email in landscape mode but you’ll have to retype it everytime you quit the app so you must really want it.
“A PreCentral tipster discovered that entering “RocknRollHax” on the keyboard (and yes, capitalization is important here) while in the email app enables the previously missing capability to use it in landscape mode; presumably Palm hid it from end users because they thought it was too buggy or weird for mainstream use, but it certainly works alright for us.” Hope I helped.
By the way, this was typed on an iPhone.
I’m not an Apple fanboy or anything but the iPhone is still king in my book.
I don’t know about this iPhone… Can it cut cheese?
@dverhey Of Course it can! Just not so well..
@dverhey haha, yes I was rather impressed. I know how flutherites can get over their precious jesusphones.
@TheCreative haha thanks for the hack, I wish I could GA you twice for the whisper text
@shockvalue And a lot of the time, rightfully so. I recently found out there are fluther users that only fluther on an iPhone. I can’t even imagine that. I hate those little keyboards, myself.
haha yes, it’s true. I remember back when it happened too… One day I’m fluthering along with the few other flutherites on the site, and the next fluther is SWARMING with baby jellies all typing away on their little iPhones… Turns out apple featured fluther on their website as a ‘best of’ for iPhone users and it stuck. Now fluther is HUGE! .. well, relatively.
Haha yeah. But believe me. With a little practice your fingers will fly across the screen on the little touch screen keyboard. I really don’t mind it. But I guess not everyone likes the touchscreen keyboard as much as I do.
i have had my pre for almost a year (a year in november) and i find myself saying multiple times a day “i HATE this phone”. It’s a love-hate relationship. I do love my Pre, I do, I do. But I HATE the lags/bugs/glitches whatever you want to call them. It’s like when you break up with someone and you say you miss them but you don’t… I love the IDEA of the Pre… but not the pre itself.
Me too. I love that it has been able to pull in 3 e-mail accounts, Facebook, and LinkedIn a full year before the “magical” and amazing iPhone. I also love the small size. I’m getting tired of the crappy response from the touchscreen and how the GPS freezes every time I need it (at least until I reboot it, which takes 5 min!).
yeah it boots like a computer. :/ it could be amazing but it suffers due to… well it seems like the software is almost ahead of the hardware. For example: The Pre has always supported Adobe Flash Player… but there has yet to actually be software or any available downloads and flash continues to be promised to us but… huh. No flash. To me that’s a big deal… no flash games. No flash sites work. SSDD.
@katalac88 flash isn’t big for me. I hate it on normal computers. I doubt ill even install it when its available. All those ads, no thanks.
