That might be Andrew’s cat. Not sure.

I think that’s been there all along. Many members use it instead of a jellyfish.

Cats manage to worm their way into every aspect of human endeavor. This is just one more such example, although it does rather look like the sysadmin.

It’s certainly not Basil. Here’s a video of me playing fetch with him. He looks nothing like avatar cat.

I’m a little allergic to cats, but not to Basil for some reason. Which is another reason why I’m pretty sure he’s a dog.
