Do you like (mind) having your picture taken?

I was at a work function the other day, and, there was one woman there who made a fuss about having her picture taken (jokingly, but, really, she was avoiding it like the plague and made a bit of a scene).

I really enjoy having my picture taken actually but the only problem would be that
i’d have to fix my hair before the picture is taken which is hard becase ive had some pictures when my hair wasnt in the right place but besides that its fun =-P
I love having my picture taken. Doesn’t mean I think I look great in every photo of me, I don’t, but I do think it’s fun to have my picture taken and I have a collection of around 950 photos of me that other people took from the year 2007 to now. That’s a lot. That’s not even all of them, either…
All of my avatars have come from this collection of 950.
@DominicX lol i also have tons of pictures of me but i try 2 look the best i can for all of them :)
I LOATHE having my picture taken.
I’d want to be able to touch up my makeup before having the picture taken. I refuse to take them without makeup on.
I don’t mind. I’m usually the photographer so I don’t get my picture taken that often.
I think the only time it bothered me was this past Thanksgiving when we were at my sister-in-law’s house. My MIL (I love her and am thankful for having such a wonderful MIL) started taking pictures of us all while we were eating. Every time I took a bite of food I saw a flash. I have yet to see the pictures. I’d rather not!
I’m behind the camera more than in front of the camera. I don’t mind it, it’s not my favorite thing. I don’t rush to put makeup on, anymore.
I hate having my picture taken, but I wouldn’t make a big deal out of it. It’s life. I have a friend who loves having his picture taken so much. I’ve developed rolls of film when we were younger and found him creeping or lurking in almost all of the pictures.
I DESPISE having my picture taken, or any picture really
I really do not like having my picture taken because I am not photogenic at all. But for special occasions I do not mind.
I don’t mind having my picture taken, but I totally hate the way they usually turn out. A recent example, I was having a really good time at a birthday party, and the picture of me at the table with the rest of the family caught my face looking like an angry monster. I could swear I was happy and smiling the whole time.
I don’t mind having my picture taken at all…but I’m usually the photographer and have to force my husband to pick up the camera. And he always always puts his finger in front of the flash so it comes out all blueish it seems, and I hate the way I look. Otherwise, it’s fine with me. I wish I had more candids actually.
I hate having my picture taken. I try to avoid it, but I usually make jokes about it. I usually say, “Every picture steals a piece of your soul!!” and start ducking and dodging.
I had an ex sister in law that refused to have her picture taken. She would turn her head every time and she was quite beautiful.
I can only explain it by thinking she was in the witness protection program.
There are few things I hate more than having my picture taken.
I don’t mind having my picture taken, but having said that, it is important to note that there are almost no pictures of me in our photo albums. I’m usually the one behind the camera.
Generally, I don’t care, because I’ll never see the picture. I don’t need pictures because no one needs to see me. In fact, in general, it’s better that they don’t see me. I wouldn’t want to put them off their feed!
When you get older, no matter how “bad” you thought those pictures were at the time, those very same pictures twenty/thirty years later look a lot better—you didn’t realize how young and wonderful you looked at the time.
For me, it is like going to the dentist..which I loathe.
@skfinkel Yeah, that’s true now when I’m 50 looking back at when I was 20, but I can’t imagine it will be true when I’m 80 looking back at now. That’s a different kettle of fish altogether!
When I was young, I was very photogenic and never minded having my picture taken. Now… not so much. I usually look a lot better in the candid shots, and since I don’t realize they’re being taken, I can’t mind it either!
@daloon: I suspect it will not be a different kettle of fish looking back at 50 from 80. Fifty will seem pretty young and gorgeous by comparison. We just all need to take pictures and put them away for a long, long time.
I always have been the “official” photographer since I was 12. I hated to have my photos taken throughout my teen an young adult life. Now at 42, I wish I have some photos of myself when I had my 6 packs ab and 60 pounds lighter. I don’t konw if I am more relax now or just because everything can take a photo nowadays.
I don’t have any picture of me, I can barely look at the ones on my IDs. My wife hides the ones she has because she knows I couldn’t resist throwing them in the trash. But if I can’t discreetly escape being in a group picture, or if friends want to take a picture with me, I suck it up, smile and pretend like it’s fun. As long as I don’t have to look at them.
Used to love it now don’t hate it but don’t love it :)
Reason why I hate having them taken, I can’t keep my eyes open to save my life.
I don’t care whether people take my picture or not, but I hate the way I look in most pictures.
@Jude Even with your eyes closed you are still so pretty! =)
