Wierd…Does the printer work well with other brands of paper? I wouldn’t think that it would make a difference what brand of paper – perhaps the type (i.e. – Photo, Copy, Presentation, etc…) , but then again, I am not an expert in this area…Or any area for that matter. Hmmm…. * self realization *

The paper brand you choose will not make a difference. The type of paper could. Depending on what type of printer you have, it might not be able to handle certain types of paper.

What kind of printer and what kind of paper is it?

The brand makes no difference, but the paper may be different in some other way. If its thicker, for example, you may need to change a paper thickness lever setting, and the Epson packaging might never warn you of the correct setting for the HP printers.

I will say from personal experience using HP glossy photo paper in my Epson is a disaster – the ink doesn’t adhere and smears all over everything, including the inside of the printer.

The reverse (Epson paper in an HP) could also be true – I’d stick with the proper paper.
