Sarah Palin’s posse deserting her.
Well, there is Red Tide and Brown Tide, so now there is Black Tide, too. Either that, or Exxon has begun shipping molasses with its usual concern for safety and the environment.
Or it is indeed whale vomit.
Don’t look at me.
I’ve been busy fishin.
@SarahPalin As long as you aren’t shooting whales from helicopters, it’s all good.
I would assume that it is some sort of algae or other biological produced mass. It’s obvious that its not alien in origin.
It is the remains of the many Airowians that viciously and systematically tore each other apart. See ya…...wtf
Because one must assume that the simplest answer is the most likely. X-Files black oil or alien blood? Really?? I mean, come one, like those two things are going to be floating around the ocean near Alaska?
@evelyns_pet_zebra Actually, in X Files, the start of the black oil invasion was supposed to start in 2012. 3 years off isn’t that bad. And according to the show, it happens in Alaska first. And Chris Carter has made an extremely precise prediction of 9/11 in the pilot of The Lone Gunmen aired on March 4th, 2001 (and it’s more than that tiny clip on YouTube, it’s the entire episode that screams it out). So at least there’s a smidgen of credibility to his record of predictions.
In my opinion, it’s oil. Oil is black. There is a lot of oil in Alaska. It is not X-files oil. It is a petroleum based product otherwise known as…....you guessed it…... oil.
I wonder if it really is oil…...
I found this, but it’s mainly built on speculation. The main guy who was interviewed has never even had the chance to see it yet, and all the DEC did was put it under a microscope. They didn’t do any real tests on it.
And it’s not oil or vomit, because it’s biological.
And, by the way, that article is filled with “supposedly”, “possibly” and “speculates”, so don’t eat it all up without being critical.
Who says vomit isn’t biological? It may depend to some degree on what the vomitor ate, but it is indeed a biological product.
I would bet its oil. Probably from the Ship Valdez spill some years back. The oil has been spreading in a fine sheen since then, and now is clumping back together. Sound probable?
Hmmm Bio possibly? Then maybe some type of animal ingested oil, and is being secreted from its contaminated body. What a horrible thought.
The way I read it, it is already established that it is not a petroleum product. It’s probably the residue of dead dinosaurs that has been frozen in the arctic ice, which is now melting.
LOL…. There aren’t many details out yet, but it has been determined that it’s not some mysterious, maybe even alien blob. Nope, just some boring ol’ algae. Last I heard, the coloration was thought to be perhaps caused by the algae deteriorating in the water, tho’ I don’t think anyone has announced that officially yet.
What they aren’t telling you is that it is a failed experiment by the Russians to try to stop Global Warming, but it’s supposed to be a big secret.
@Mtl_zack because the X Files is FICTION. When people start mistaking fiction for fact, well, then, aliens control the president and ghosts influence Congress. The only thing that controls the president and Congress is far more mundane. It is known as $$$.
When people state to me that they get their ideas of the natural world from tv, and especially from shows like the X Files, I just shake my head and mutter, You poor clueless bastard, you really are gullible, aren’t you?
@evelyns_pet_zebra Haha I don’t actually believe this. I’m just playing devils advocate. It’s important to keep an open mind though.
I wasn’t but I knew that before I composed my facetious answer.
