No but I do have that problem if I use Dial brand soap when I shower.
Thanks, Blondesjon….started using TONE body wash, wonder if that’s the culprit…????
Any detergent, soap, perfume, deodorant, cream, gel, etc. can lead to an allergic reaction known as contact dermatitis. The good news is that you seem to have identified the allergen, and can switch to something else. Whenever I see someone with this type of reaction, I always caution them to only change one item at a time, so as to get a firm idea of what the offending product was and to avoid just that product in the future.
I have a hard time with powder detergents in general. They seem to leave more of a residue, which is very irritating to my skin. If it does not wash out completely, I get very red, itchy rashes. I do best with unscented liquid detergents.
I have similar reactions to any kind of soap that contains a perfume. Or perfumes in general; my wife bought me a bottle of cologne once, and after a lot of prodding, I wore it one day. It gave me a horrible rash.
I can’t use any laundry detergent other than Cheer Free. Even Dreft and other ‘free’ detergents don’t work for me.
Sorry it took so long to thank you guys for your comments..had unexpected company…:-)
