@Grisaille, nice idea, but points are displayed every time someone posts. That’s as close as I ever want us to get to making or implying any kind of awards, tiers, honor circle, winners, etc. I think those things are divisive rather than otherwise. Lurve is great, but it’s really enough. We needn’t gild the lily.
After a seven month hiatus, I visited fluther without logging in, just to check things out to decide if I did indeed wish to return to the fold. I saw many old friends still here, sadly, a few were noticeably missing and there were a bunch of new people on board. The quality of the site was still good and the atmosphere still very comfortable. As I browsed around I kept seeing the same two jellies, both unknown to me, trading quips at lightning speed. They were everywhere and their interplay was relevant, topical, clever and hilarious. On every question I reviewed, I found myself specifically looking for dialogue between those two characters who seemingly fed off each other and almost always left behind a brilliant sketch comedy that still had some bite in it and made a statement. It was obvious they were challenging each other to outdo the prior post and they were both very successful. It wasn’t long before I got the itch to join in on their exchanges and wondered how these guys would receive me. Well, I thought wtf, I’ll go for it, and not with just a half-assed effort, but full steam ahead. And that decision has worked out well as I have been having a whole lot of fun here.
For compelling my return and making me feel welcomed, for allowing me to get directly in the line of fire between you to toss in an occasional good one amongst your almost always good ones, and for becoming two very fine and always fun fluther friends, thank you @Blondesjon, the lesser half of that fine fun fluthering couple, and @eponymoushipster, you damn sexy monkey man. Congrats on the 10K milestone BJ. And please guys, try not to trash the 10K Lurve Lounge before I get a chance to get there and enjoy it with you! OK? See ya…...wtf

WOOHOO! Par-tay! Blondesjon – so many times you say exactly what I want to say. I love reading what you are posting and really enjoy the fact that you are just so upfront about your opinions and don’t mince words. I respect that, a lot. You are a friend and a great member of Fluther. My favorite things to read are the exchanges between you and jonsblond (another awesome person!), it’s just great being able to “see” part of the relationship.
