That’s what I call something you want, but can never have. My impossible dream is to be the first to explore a new earthlike planet. I know it’s kind of juvenile, but to me it would be very exciting to be the first one to step foot on an unknown (but liveable of course) planet. Think of the wonders. Anyway so am I unique in this? Does everyone want something they cannot have?

Yes, and it involves Brooke Burke.
Being immortal, being able to read people’s thoughts, controlling time. And my ex-boyfriend appearing on my front porch, begging me to take him back.
The latter is less likely to happen than the former.
Being immortal, like a vampire; seeing Mars or Jupiter in person; and my most likely impossible dream, owning a farm with a few hundred acres and every kind of animal I find fascinating, from aardvarks to zebras.
My big dream is to one day hike the entire Appalachian Trail, from GA to ME.
It’s not really an impossible dream, yet it’s now been 21 years since its inception and it is still but a dream.
Someday. Maybe. Hopefully.
with each day my knees get worse and worse, it seems more and more unlikely
Not having to ever work again (winning the lottery, death of a rich distant relative, etc.).
An Academy Award, but then that’s not entirely impossible…
I want to finish writing a book. Today is one of those days where it feels impossible.
I want to be able to ice skate like Peggy Flemming or Scott Hamilton.
Impossible because I’m just too old at this point.
Observe what happened before the 10^-43 second of our universe.
Yes, I do have a dream that’s currently impossible – I’d like to be cured of diabetes tomorrow.
Yes – a dream. No – not impossible. What’s “impossible”? maybe unrealistic but never impossible.
