What kind of email adress is this?

I am in japan at the moment and someone gave me their so called email address, this is what they wrote

QQ:5747*****

each star stands for a number I didn’t want to put the whole thing on here. So is this an icq number? How would I email this person?

That’s not an email address, it’s a QQ instant messaging username. I’m pretty sure you can send them long messages though, similar to private Fluther comments.
