When joining an internet game on Halo Custom Edition, if the map is user-created, an error message displays, saying “Unable to join the game server!” The shortcut includes the -console thing you add to get the squiggly-line command prompt just in case, but this didn’t help either.

Custom Edition?
Your second sentence didn’t make any sense.
When you add -console to the end of the target line in the properties of the shortcut, it allows for a special input, such as the activation of god mode in the game, by pressing that squiggly hyphenin the top left corner ofthe keyboard. I expected people who answered this question to know what I was talking about.
Well, I know that CE stands for “Combat Evolved” and that the squiggly hyphen is called the “tilde” and that downloading custom maps for an FPS usually requires a separate package, but whatever.
You get an error because you dont have the maps installed on your computer. Go download the maps first, then try joining.
also ivan is right, its combat evolved and ~ is called a tilde.
