That someone could screw up 3 amazing films with 3 completely shit films. It’s beyond comprehension.

Star Wars falls under the category of “sci-fi/fantasy” which has a lot of what people would consider, unbelievable. That’s part of the fun.

I think Spock coming back from the dead.

That Lucas thought Jar Jar Binks was a good idea.
btw I liked the pre-trilogy. It added a lot to the origional story.

Ugh. Jar Jar Binks. Maybe if I was 4, it wouldn’t have mattered, but really? Jar Jar Binks?

@eponymoushipster hehehe! That’s great.

That people have so much hatred for the prequels. They’re kid movies and guess what—most little kids I’ve talked to like the prequels better than the originals.

That Hans Solo acctulauly understood the funny noises that hairy teddy made. Besides that Star Wars realy sucks. Once a Trekkie always a Trekkie even if Spock did come back from the dead. The music was anoying, the dialog was shitty and I can’t believe that people liked Star Wars. The only plus point was the spaceships.

I think that the amazing thing about Star Wars is that in such a terrorist fearing country like America the movie is vastly popular. A bunch of people going in and trying to destroy the organized “government” is terrorism. And people bought it, love it, and root for terrorism to win in the end.

@jamielynn2328 But the empires leader was uglier and dressed weirder than our leader.

jamielynn2328's avatar

@Blobman He was ugly in the end, that’s for sure…

Fuck Jar Jar. He can go get eaten by a rancor.
I don’t know how I missed this question when I went back through the Star Wars ones.. but here it goes.

In Empire Strikes Back, Obi-Wan says that Yoda trained him. BUT when Phantom Menace came out, we see that Qui-Gon is the Jedi who trains him. this is more of a consistency/Obi-Wan is a fucking liar thing than unbelievable.

In Return of the Jedi, Leia says she remembers brief memories and images of her mother. BUT in the prequels, we find out Padme died moments after giving birth. Unless super memory of being pushed out of your mother is a jedi skill, then I find that pretty unbelievable.

Also, the fact that lightsabers were never explained in the films kind of bothered me. I had so many questions about them. Why they stopped about a meter away from the handle, for example. It’s just not logically explained in the movies. But then I got nerdy and read the extended universe’s stuff on lightsabers..

And to add to the “anti-prequel” conversation.. I don’t hate the prequels.. I just wish they were made/presented better. But I do like some of the areas that it explored. They cleared up quite a few questions.
Edit: This question is almost a year old. Nobody is gonna read this, but I had to chime in.
