Who remembers this movie?
I can’t remember this movie’s title: Set in the 1910s-1920s, it was actually shot in the 1930s or early 1940s. It is about a lower middle class family and the daughter is a social climber of sorts. Her father works for a wealthy family. There is a sub-plot of the father quitting his job to start his own glue factory (egged on by his wife) and he gets a dressing down by his former boss.
