Can you get more time if you go to jail high?

Not sure if you’ll get more time, but you certainly won’t be earning any “good time” soon.

Meaning, you’re not going to prove to them you are a model prisoner looking to actually reform. Staying on the straight and narrow while incarcerated could get your sentence reduced.

Also, if all you are doing when facing prison for a year is thinking about getting high, is that a helpful course for your life? Perhaps you should be reflecting on how you got yourself into this situation and what you might be able to do to use the time to turn your life around.
