In 2010, when VW starts producing their 1L car, which does 285 mpg, would you consider buying one?

I will need to wait and see what the price is, but yes, 100km on 1 liter of fuel sounds like a great buy for the enviroment
If it looks good, performs well, and is affordable I’d definitely look at it.
I like VW cars but can’t wait that long. Unless I keep my Ford for another year (or more basically) and go straight for the VW 1L. Sounds like a good deal.
Oh. Too confining for me. :(
Too freaky. My dream car would be ‘57 – ‘63 design with all mod cons and fuel efficient. I know, keep dreaming.
That sounds amazing. I was considering a smart car, but if this is real, I would be all over it like hot butter on a roll.
Nope. I don’t think I’ll be convinced to own another VW product.
Also, wouldn’t this win the 100 MPG x prize?
@hungryhungryhortence: It is a shame that you had a bad experience with a VW. I have owned 3, my mother has owned 2, my brother and his wife have had 3… none of us had any problems. I would not hesitate to buy a VW… but I usually do hesitate to buy the first of any model by any manufacturer.
@hearkat: I’ve owned 2 VW’s and also worked for them a few years, just my personal experiences. I’d pick a Subaru, Toyota, Honda, Nissan even a GMC product over a VW.
I like me some Nissan…
or the new Camaro O.o
Everyone’s perspective will change once the barrel of oil hits $200 and more. I just bought a new Ford Fiesta doing 68 mpg or about 3.5 l/100km.
@PupnTaco :: I’m going to school to fix cars. My actual goal is doing exactly what you described. Taking old cars and adding solar panels and converting them to hybrids.
