Don’t pop the blisters! It’s not good for the healing process!!

Clear liquid is not really pus. Pus are dead neutrophils (cells of the immune system) and is typically yellow-green in color. The clear liquid is a transudate.

Basically, it is the watery part of blood and lymph. Pus is opaque, yellowish green and a nasty sign of infection (it is not laudable).

I always called it natures bandage.

I’ll add that pus generally smells bad, because of the infection. The clear liquid is your body’s attempt to protect itself and heal, and popping it could let infection in.

Better not to pop it, it will heal naturally. No need to worry, just appreciate the blister as a sign of your hard work in whatever endeavor precipitated it. Worrying about these things will age you prematurely.

Once you pop you can’t stop.
