Bushings?

Are the trucks too loose causing high speed wobble or are the wheels themselves loose implying messed up bearings?

I think it’s the trucks, I tightened them but they still seem to shake.

Damn_Tony's avatar

Well I asked because I don’t know why it happened

Are the gaskets still good?

Damn_Tony's avatar

That might be the problem I haven’t switched them in months

@Dog is right, get new ones and try it, or it’s the screws that are old too

Bushings never really fail. Where are you? I was in Sacramento and had my board in the trunk of the car. The bushings were like bubble gum when I went to use it.

Damn_Tony's avatar

San Bernardino it’s pretty hot here right now

Like @johnpowell says check to see if they are gummy and also look for cracks. I had a set that actually warped out of shape. (I kept it in my back window of my car- not good thinking)

Damn_Tony's avatar

Yeah they are sort of gummy, I don’t see any cracks though

Are your bearings shoved all the way in the wheels? How loose are your axle nuts? If your wheels are flatspotted or coned from not rotating them that will make it ride like shit.

Damn_Tony's avatar

Not all the way. They aren’t that loose, they are as tight as the screwdriver would let me go

Damn_Tony's avatar

@buster It made them all crappy, damn and they are coned too

Que te dije? Listen to me next time!

@Damn_Tony :: I rotate my wheels when I notice that they aren’t flat anymore. It keeps them pretty even.
