Is Fluther blocking your use of question/answer buttons a form of punishment for bad behavior?

Fluther does not punish.
What is it you are experiencing?
What browser do you use?
you can only ask so many questions in a day.
@cyndihugs @Dog The buttons stopped funtioning. Aboynamedboots had just reemed me for an imagined slight to him. But all the other site links worked, including the contact us button and the speak your mind button…
Answer is not a button- it is a box. Did the box vanish?
What browser are you using?
[mod says] Definitely not. You may answer an unlimited number of questions. However, we are having difficulties with speed today. You may have to hit it more than once, and don’t navigate away from the page til it’s ‘taken’ your answer.
Fluther is an absolute good. One must never suggest that Fluther would act in such a nefarious way as you’ve implied. Shame my good man.
Tsk, tsk.
Fluther has been a bit slow but it does not discriminate.
@jonsblond Did your answer button fail to work for you the past 2 days?
Well, it’s good to know it’s not just me.
@Dog Nothing vanished. My ability to answer or ask questions was curtailed by blocking the answer “button” and the submit question link
@Zendo Obviously the answer button is working for you now… did you restart or clear your browser?
@augustlan Yes, it obviously is working now. I did nothing. No, I did not clear my browser. Apparently someone at Fluther HQ unblocked me. Thanks for your concern.
Hmm… weird. Well, I’m glad it’s working for you now. :)
Me too! This place is not a much fun when you cannot answer or ask questions.
There is no such blocking feature. I’m in no position to say this beyond the fact that it’s never been ever mentioned before, and anyone with understandings of how websites work realize that on sites that have growth spurts or high traffic bumps (such as, oh, having Lifehacker write an article about you), errors can happen, sometimes pressing the button does nothing, sometimes it does weird things. Servers aren’t infallible.
If you somehow did something worthy of being blocked you would be told this by a moderator in a private message, likely. No one has any incentive to block you without purpose, as far as I know this feature does not exist, and if it does exist it would be easy to find out who did it.
So don’t attribute to malice that which can be attributed to overworked servers :)
