Are there any apps out there that makes the blackberry experience much better or help you get things done more efficiently? Any addictive games to get through long train rides?

Most of the Blackberry people I support want apps for Facebook, Link’d In, and Skype.
…and get Tetris.
There’s no 1 “Blackberry Apps Store” like for the iPhone. # BlackBerry users can go to BlackBerry App World, Handango, MobiHand, and Handmark’s Mobile App Store for BlackBerry are places where you can buy apps. Tons of people just design free apps and post them on their blog, so if there’s an app/wallpaper/theme/what have you that you can’t find or simply don’t feel like paying for, you can google it and see what comes up. Personally, I’ve found that games like Tetris, which require you to move the trackball with a certain speed and accuracy, are not the best for BB’s unless they contain a keyboard option. However, card games, puzzles, and board games are great. You can also watch Youtube on your BB depending on the model (but if you do that a lot, make sure to get the unlimited data plan) or put videos on your media card and watch it that way. Lots of blogging/social sites such as LiveJournal and Twitter have apps you can download onto your BB to keep in touch.
Well it doesn’t really help get things done more efficiently but it will be useful when you just can’t find that song name. I believe “Shazam” is now in the Blackberry App World too.
it really all comes down to how you use it. I think the Google Mobile App is pretty much a must have for me, no question (everything from maps, to Gmail). A lot of people like Viigo, as an all around good tool, though i just find it excessive. If you like having a second browser (say.. reading an article, and wanna look something else up w/o losing your spot) Opera Mini is fantastic, though some people like Bolt browser, as another alternative. I also have the BB version of GoogleTalk, from BB’s own website, just because i need to be connected, and it works almost as smoothly as BB Messenger. Also, from the App Store, you can get a free app called QuickPull, which simulated a battery pull.. i.e. a real restart, not a fake-o blackberry restart. Definitely a useful program. Game-wise, I’m a tetris-o-holic.. but i didn’t wanna front the cash for actual tetris.. but if you Google search Jetris, it’s a super good tetris clone. (SUPER good, for being free and all).
That’s about it, for me.. used to have a bunch more, but i run pretty light now, as a lot of the stuff just ended up being clutter.
Slacker radio, flickr, instant messenger of your choice, google maps, facebook. My blackberry wouldn’t be the same without them.
Vlingo is great… the voice-to-text option makes texting a breeze and is surprisingly reliable.
Pretty Much anything made or related to Google. Google maps works great on a Blackerry. And Google docs if your a business person.
