I think it mostly means he’s on your mind a lot. Dreams tend to be inflenced heavily by that day’s thoughts.

I don’t know why you dreamed about him the first night you did, but I suspect you dreamed about him every night afterwards because you thought about him (and the dream you had the night before) during the day.

I went through a period of dreaming about an ex from years ago for a long time. I had always kind of wondered if he was the one who got away. (He wasn’t.)
