How do I play a game that requires a product key? (See details).

in any case you have to get a key. You could either call M$ to ask for a new key (which will probably be unsuccessful unless you pay for a new key) or get a keygen (not quite legal).

Assuming you don’t want to buy another copy of the game, there really isn’t any other legal way to go about it.

That said, if you look around the net, you can find product keys for most games. Typically, they’ll work fine for the installation, but you won’t be able to access multiplayer aspects of the games (is there multiplayer for flight sims?). Use at your own risk, though, this is illegal. Logic would say that Microsoft won’t pursue over one measly game, but you never know.

If you registered the product when you installed it initially, you will have given them an email address so they can correspond that email with an actual key that is purchased. If you give them a call, or an email to their tech support, they should be able to email you the key you used when you bought it originally.

Sometimes I don’t even remember registering product, but after emailing a company about it, they do find a key for me, it’s quite nice.

Try what ^he said it will most likely work.

I have done this in the past as well. Now I keep a hard copy of all this type of info as well as a record of it on the hard drive.

In the meantime I would give a go to @RandomMrdan‘s suggestion, you have nothing to lose!

Unfortunatley you’ll either

A) Need to get a new cd key.

B) Get a Key gen. But careful these could possibly contain trojans.

C) Find your old one.

Thats pretty much all you can do. You’d be surprised how many other people like you have the same problem. One of the many downsides to DRM.

You could try a key finder am not sure if they read disks or if you would have anything left on the hard drive.
You could also try i do have a key code for this game __i did enter the code until i thought about it__.. if you really wanted to . I did some searching and found this key for ya
As a side note the key is on the case how can you not have the case yet have the game ?

Call up the company and ask them, that’s step one. Step two is looking into the seedy parts of the internet where viruses and malware are aplenty. Try to avoid step two if you can :)
