Would you live in a cage at the zoo as a human display?
Even the lions have some private quarters. Assuming you could have some degree of privacy, would you give it a shot for say… a two week stay?
I might.
Or maybe we could close the prisons and put the inmates on display? Maybe not…

Nope, but if there was Internet I would though… I might even stay longer
I might give it a shot. I would definitely need a private area to retreat to when I got sick of people staring at me. Didn’t somebody do this as an art installation a while back?
It depends: would they put me in a cage with an attractive young female to display human mating?
depends on whether I’d be paid a good amount or not…and if I had my computer and internet access.
You bet your ass I’d throw poo at people I didn’t like though.
Depends on the food and the company.
If both are good, then yes.
and as @augustlan says, a “private area” would be necessary.
If I were paid enough, I would give them a full month of 24 hour display.
I had a friend who had a big boat and we would pull into Inner Harbor in Baltimore to get something to eat. Often we would anchor there for an hour or so while we ate and watched the people go by.
The question always remained who was watching whom because everyone who walked past stared at us as we were staring at them. It was sort of like being in a cage or on display. But it was fun! But I didn’t like it enough to want to do it for a month!
Never. I would never want to live in a cage. I would rather live on an island by myself for a year.
This reminds me of an old Twilight Zone episode.
@evelyns_pet_zebra There was one where some people were taken against their will and put on display, and one where a man agreed to be in a cage and not talk for a full year, and then found out the man who made the dare did not have the money to make good on his dare.
@evelyns_pet_zebra Ah, but that man was tricked…
Slaughterhouse Five is more accurate, imo
yeh totally specially if it was an awesome enclosure with a swimming bit and they payed you
All of Earth is a zoo. Didn’t you know? Aliens keep watching us. But they got a very strict Prime Directive.
No, never.
I really dislike zoos and feel terrible for the animals that are forced to be there. I wouldn’t want to put myself in their position, even for a short amount of time. The main thing I like about zoos is their conservation efforts, and people are doing just fine staying off the endangered species list all by themselves.
Nope, and I don’t think the majority of existing zoos should house animals, either. If zoos didn’t play a large part in animal conservation I wouldn’t want there to be any zoos at all… I have seen too many tigers in cages that are half an acre or less, for example… so sad! However, there are some out there that are huge and imitate the animal’s natural environment as closely as possible, and I wish they could all be that way.

Depending on my current job situation and how I would be able to support myself, I’d consider it. I mean, if it’s the choice between being homeless or living in the zoo I’d be all over it.
I might like being on display, if people were interested in watching me. I just wouldn’t want anything I did while in the cage to be held against me when I got out (like what @drdoombot mentioned, yuck, yuck)
In fact, if I were free to do anything while in the cage, with no social consequences (like throwing my feces at the visitors, or whatever), then I think I might really get into it. Being totally antisocial for a couple of weeks, and letting my id do the acting.
can we put some of are past presidents in this cage?
maybe.
do I get to bring a friend or two?
