Sooo.... The room I asked about a long time ago is almost done. This is an update. Comments (and further advice) anyone?
For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, you can take a look at this question. Well.. One month on, it’s been constructed, and had the windows attached, and has just been painted today!
Unfortunately we’ve only been able to choose one paint colour for the whole room anyway so my sis stuck with the original choice (which I helped her to pick): yellow.
And here’s the result! (Note: The video was sped up somehow when I flipped it so that you folks wouldn’t have to turn your heads 90 degrees to see it, but the main message gets through the same).
Right now there’s some discussion going on regarding the furniture to be put inside the room and how it’s gonna be construction. Personally, I’d like to have a table along the windows so that there’ll be wonderful sunlight pouring in (of course we’re gonna install curtains) and have a bed somewhere along the side. Unfortunately the room shape is a bit weird so it’s kinda hard to place furniture nicely.
So once again I’d like to ask the collective what they think will be best. Of course my parents will be the ones to pass the verdict on what they think will be best. But I thought that asking for advice never did hurt anyone. If anyone wants to take a look at the floorplan (which is in the other question, but I’m putting it here if you people are too lazy [* points accusatory finger *]), feel free to do so.
(By the way, I love my colour choice of yellow if I say so myself =D).

I had this colour in a room before , it was sooooo bright tho i had to change it .
Why a table along that window , why not get a seat built there and in storage so you can hide things under the cushions. And put the bed next to the toilet wall , oh and even with curtains the light in the room we had was crazy bright even with the curtains closed , the paint made it to bright tho
Wow! That is a very bright yellow. I love the curve of the wall and the windows.
I love the yellow too. It makes me happy;-)
You said you wanted a table along the window. Wouldn’t it be cool if you could find a curved table? Check out #6 here
Lovely room, but I would have added a lot more white to the yellow. Due to the curve, I like the idea of built-in banquettes. One could have a space for knees and be called a desk, and the other the drawers built-in underneath.
Too bad you need curtains. How about micro-mini blinds, unless you have snoopy neighbors near-by? My personal preference is for as much light as possible. And my decorating maxim is “Less is more. Fewer things to maintain and dust.”
Congratulations on your skill, your creativity and your energy. Custom windows, I presume?

I’d put the bed in the one corner that’s created with the bathroom wall. Then you could put a desk against the other flat bit of wall (opposite the bed). I’d also be all for some curved window seats that open up or have drawers in them could be used as a dresser/storage for other things.
I also love the color. I think yellow rooms are great, my room will be yellow as soon as I get around to painting it. :)
While I think it would be nice to have a table by the windows, it could also be very cool to have the head of your bed under the windows so you can almost pretend to be sleeping under the stars. Then I would see about putting a table or desk near the flat wall but turned so you look out the windows when sitting at it to work, and put bookshelves on the flat wall behind the desk.
Personally I find that yellow to be a bit strong for me, but it will depend on what else you do in the room in terms of color. The fact that you have many windows can help with the strong hue also.
I like Judi’s idea of a curved desk, but I’m guessing it would be difficult to find a table that would fit exactly. If you’re up to it, I’d suggest custom building some of your own furniture to fit the curve of the wall. (I built the table that I have in my room. It takes time, but I think it’s worth it.)
And in regard to curtains, how about some really light sheer curtains to capture the sunlight?
