Do you have claustrophobia or some degree of it?

I think I do to some degree. I do not like being in really small places. I remember one time I went to an open house and they had this secret room that was part of the attic and it was led to by a small staircase and had a low ceiling and it freaked me out; I did not want to be in there for much longer. I’ve also had dreams where I’m crawling through something and the space keeps getting smaller; usually I wake up pretty soon after that, but of all the dreams I have, claustrophobia-themed ones are the absolute worst. I’m always afraid I’ll suffocate myself with the pillow or a sheet or something; I have woken up before with a sheet over my face before. I was aware of it while I was sleeping though and moved it away, which woke me up.

Sorry, no, I love small places. I probably would not want to be in shallow cave in the dark unable to get out though.
I hope you never have to have an MRI. If you do, shut your eyes and keep them shut and focus on steady breathing.
I don’t mind small places. I’m attracted to them. I’d love to have explored that secret room, and I wish my house had one. But the idea of being locked in or trapped anyplace (no matter how large) gives me a panicky feeling. I don’t like being on airplanes, I would never join a convent, I don’t intend to do anything to get myself put in jail, and I will be glad when my job is over.

An MRI would be the worst possible thing for me because it would combine claustrophobia with my nosocomephobia (fear of hospitals), the latter of which is not too strong, especially since I know what caused it.
I do to some degree. I remember trying to get something out from under the couch when I was younger and would get extreme frightened. Then again, that’s a really tight place to be in, so I’d think most people would be scared to be trapped under a couch.
@DominicX I struggle with claustrophobia also. I can’t stand small spaces. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. I’ve tried to overcome it by purposely putting myself in an enclosed space and trying to get through it…I think I made it worse. So instead of trying to cure it, I just stay away from closed in spaces. Wish I had better advice for you!
I don’t like feeling as though I’m in the middle of a crush of people, if that’s an aspect of claustrophobia. When I go to general admission concerts, say, I don’t stand front row center anymore. I’ll go in front, but off to the side.
Yes, small rooms bother me especially if crowded. I gradually become uncomfortable, tense, distracted. It also bothers me to see people climbing through crawl spaces, air ducts, etc. in movies.
