Can you mow lawns? If so there is good money to be made.

Mow…edge….blow it off….collect your $$

i guess i could do that… the only persons lawn i mowed is my own

Everyone with a garden or lawn would welcome some help. If you are knowledgeable about what is a weed and what isn’t and know how to prune (or use a chain saw), you can easily make $25/hr.

im 12. no chainsaw for me lol

True. You could weed or clean parts of houses.(Pushing a vacuum or a damp mop around isn’t too difficult.)

Try getting jobs as a mothers’ helper. It’s like a babysitter, only the mom is home. The reason I suggest this is because I don’t suggest jumping straight into babysitting if you haven’t before. Plus unless you have little brothers and sisters (aka experience with children) you won’t get hired anyway. However if you’re good at it and build a good relationship with the mom, she might bump you up to babysitter after a few months and you’ll get paid more.

You could also see if anyone needs anything painted – rooms, fences etc. That’s always fun. Your friends parents might pay you to hang out together and do things like that. When I was younger I always babysat and did yard work or painting with my friends for our parents or grandparents. Grandparents pay bank. :D

I mowed lawns for a living for several years…a long time ago. I got a gas powered push mower from Walmart, and an Echo Weedeater and a cheap blower. $25 to $60 per; 5 lawns a day and i was making $2500 a month…LOL…I didn’t even have a trailer. Just loaded everything into the trunk of a Buick Electra 225 I had bought for 500 bucks from a sweet old lady who only drove it top the store and back.
Anyway, I put an ad in the local paper…“Lawns by Zee; Boldly mows where no one has mowed before.” I got loads of phone calls. I had to buy an answering machine (cell phones were only just coming onto the market back then).

Have a garage sale or do a car wash.

Get a time machine and start working on this at the start of the summer. School’s about to start again.

Usually what I’ve done was go around the house and ask for “odd ” jobs, like washing the car, wiping down appliances, cleaning bathrooms, umm..wiping light switches.. all sorts of things that people usually dont do.Probably the best thing to do is babysitting or dogsitting or even just asking people what they need done. But The Best thing is to be responsible so people will hire you again,That way when you need some extra $ people will say oh that person did a great job and they will be likely to hire you again.( dont count on an immediate “yes” you first have to prove you can do it!)

Hope this helps!

Try asking your parents if the family can have a yard sale. Sell some of your things for cheap and keep the money (as long as your parents say it’s okay).

Also, doing a car wash as @ItalianPrincess1217 suggested, or looking around the house for odd jobs as @guitargirl101 said, could be great ideas. In addition, you could see if any neighbors need help with their pets (grooming, pet sitting, taking the dogs in the neighborhood for a walk).

You could also try to see if any younger kids need tutoring in a subject you’re good at.

What about a lemonade stand that also sells homemade cookies, brownies, etc.? I’m sure you’d make nice coin on that!

@Whereisfreespeech,:Luckily Fluther has asked @nervous to wait a year before joining, due to the legal age limit of 13. Thus he/she was spared that gratuitous, unnecessary and mean remark.
