Between the middle and ring fingers

Pointer and middle finger on, other two fingers off (but not stuck out in that “I’m trying to look fancy” kind of way).

For what it’s worth, I hold almost all glasses/cups that same way.

Do you mean WHERE on the glass? I know you’re SUPPOSED to hold it by the stem so the wine doesn’t get warm from your hands, but I don’t. I hold it by the globe. It feels too unsteady to hold it by the stem.

Here’s the proper etiquette. Hold by the stem for white wine, hold by the stem or partially by the globe for red wine.

Very carefully?

I clutch the wine glass by the stem in my left hand, and clutch the dark chocolate in my right hand. So far, it has worked for me.

I chug it from a regular glass, but apparently that’s not right.

who uses a glass?

By the stem mostly, my hand resting on the globe. In all honesty, it doesn’t matter, etiquette for little things like that is antiquated and unnecessary.

Well, I usually take the bag of wine out of the Franzia box and just squeeze that into my mouth. Classy does it.

Hold it by the stem or if you really want to be snooty, hold it by the base.
Just don’t hold it by the bulb itself. Your hand’s heat will warm the wine.

as long as you don’t drop the precious wine…

Red wine is held by the bowl and white wine is held by the stem (so as not to heat the wine with body temperature).
