What do you recommend in terms of sellers, sizes, diffused/clear, etc.?
What should I know when deciding where and what LEDs to buy?

What are you buying them for? I’ve bought them before, but I was buying them for an electronics kit type thing.
I’ve got a sort of project in mind that involved placing LEDs inside of japanese lanterns to decorate my room. Ideally with enough of them scattered around my room there would be enough light to see (sort of a mood lighting effect?)
But I’m also just generally interested in playing around with LEDs and understanding what the effects are of different shapes and sizes and whether some are better quality than others.
To clarify, I am planning on wiring them up myself.
We tape them to watch batteries then put them in mason jars with loosely crumpled tissue paper in them. Very cool lighting effect. The LED light gets sort of lost and you have this glowing tissue paper effect. We use clear so we get the most light possible.
your going to need a hell of alot of lights, hooking up clusters could be an idea,,.also one of these is good to have
I buy them, along with a little resistor and wire the red ones up in pairs of two, connect them to a 9volt battery and hang them in the bushes at Halloween. Instant bats. Green are not bat either but the red are better.
@awesome: Who sings the song in that clip?
I know it as performed by The Knife. Who did it first, I wonder?
Search led museum in google. This site has everything you want to know about Led products.
I also purchased some led Christmas lights. They exist! Just google it.
