If someone asked 'Would you mark my question as a great question?' in a question, would you do it?

No, and I would put them on a list of people to never mark as a great anything. This site is about finding a good answer, not about racking up points.
Are you kidding? Of course not!
I wonder where this question comes from? Idle curiosity? Experimentalism? Or could you be seriously considering taking this approach?
I would not but I have seen some people DO!!! And that includes lurve!
@Quagmire Would you be referring to this question, by any chance?
@Noel_S_Leitmotiv Is this related to an old website we know so well?
But to answer, nah, I wouldn’t. I think this site deserves better.
I had to mark this as a great question as soon as I read that.
Damn you
No, I don’t. It’s like asking for a dick punch by johnpowell, you get it or you don’t.
@Saturated_Brain, actually no. But I did see someone post recently about “Who’s gonna give me the lurve I need to reach 1000?” or something like that.
What annoys me is when people write that my answer is really helpful to them, but they don’t click on GA. Often new people seem to do this. I think that once I gave in and said, “feel free to click the GA button, anytime you want.” Normally, I avoid managing to care. Or rather, I care, but I’m not letting myself get attached to caring. The privilege of being allowed to think is the most wonderful thing about this site. That, alone, makes me feel good.
I’d remove it as “self promotional”.
Nope. I don’t give to beggars.
if it’s in a joking manner, like the ‘what is a lurve whore’ question as mentioned above, i’d mark it a GA or GQ if it made me smile. but if someone’s clearly just doing it because they feel like they’re in a competition, no way.
I give out lurve freely, but something like this smells of wanton gluttony. So no, I don’t give lurve to those that beg for it. Lurve is always about quality, not quantity, even if it is free. I’ve even given lurve to people I find exasperating simply because it was a GA or a GQ.
