Try downloading IconExplorer link
You can use it to look in the MS Access directory to extract the ico file.
Oh, and I can’t download anything either, sorry, forgot.
Darn State Farm security measures…
Right click on the desktop.
Select new, shortcut.
Browse to the directory/file where the MS Access is located.
Click on Finish.
Right click on the new icon.
Go to Change Icon. You should see the icons that are available.
its not in there, I’ve checked.
Its in there somewhere or the program is not properly installed. Check the dll’s.
I don’t have Access on my computer, or I would be more specific.
there’s a file in all versions of Windows called moricons.dll. All the file icons for office products are there, the one with the key is for access.
For Windows XP, the moricons.dll
file is located in C:\WinNT\system32
.
It appears to mostly contain a bunch of legacy 8-bit color Windows 3.1-era icons… but if you scroll all the way to the end, there are some newer (i.e. only 10 years old) Internet Explorer icons. The one with a tiny purple square and a tiny purple key inside it is associated with Access… but I don’t believe it to be the actual Access product icon.
Still, if you’re stuck navel-gazing with no administrative rights and no Internet access, it’s probably your best bet at this point.
