Being heartbroken is emotionally draining, which leads to being (for me, at least) even more exhausted than physical activity.
You can’t cry when you’re sleeping.
You can’t go over every mistake you made while you’re sleeping.
You can’t think about it when you’re sleeping.
It doesn’t hurt when you’re sleeping.
I feel like sleeping because that’s all I can do and think about at that moment.
I don’t want to talk to anyone I want to be alone. Maybe cry but if I go to sleep I won’t.
Emotional stress is exhausting. And sleep is escape.
You can’t hurt when you are unconscious.
@nayeight- Here, let me give you a hug and see if that helps any.

Extreme emotions sap your energy. Sleep is your bodies way of recovering. Depression can also make you sleepy. Sleep is good in the beginning, but be wary if it becoming excessive.
@AstroChuck Aww.
@nayeight Sleep is a respite. Mental stress of any kind really is exhausting. Have some {hugs} from me, too.
Hey, everybody! It’s a hug-off!
Or a hug orgy, if you prefer.
@Jeruba
@YARNLADY
You’ve both nailed it! Sleep lets you escape hurt, fear, panic, disappointment and exhaustion and gives you some catch up and re charge to get back on the path.
Can I have a hug too? :’(
@Tink1113- Of course.
Here- <<bear hug stance>>
Thanks for the hugs everybody. I think I’m going to head off to bed now & sleep til I feel better.
the alcohol usually knocks me out.
Ill take a hug and a shot of alcohol.
Hugs and alcohol for everyone! Except Tink… no alcohol for 14 year olds. :)
@augustlan not even a little? C’mon be generous for someone who is in pain :’(
Tink, you can have as many hugs as you want… does that make up for it?
Of course Auggie never drank at 14 so you can’t either.
Big use of sarcasm there Chuckie. :)
Heartbreak is the worst kind of pain I have ever dealt with. Hope you feel better when you wake up and realize that the jerk wasn’t worth it. :)
actually, given that no one here is related to @Tink1113, probably putting a check on the hugs is a good idea, too.
