This is a simple question, but how do I do that @ "so and so" thing when responding to someone?

just click on @ sign at beginning of fluther window for reply
When you put in that symbol, a list of the people who have posted will drop down on the right side of this box. Just click on the person you want & it’ll put it in.
hey thanks guys, appreciate it!
@mass_pike4: Once you post a question, your name comes up also.
You type the @ character and then you get a list of people who have responded to the question. Then you can scroll up and down and pick their name. You could aIso type the name but you have type it exactly as it apears so so lightlyseared must have a capital L. It only works for people who who have made already made a response in the question thread.
Fluther should make this more clear. It took me a long time to figure it out, too.
to bad it doesn’t work on the iPhone! I am also going blind trying to read answers on the iPhone ap.
(And some people have such complicated usernames that I can’t read the fine print without a magnifying glass.)
@mass_pike4: Do you know how to enlarge the avatars?
@Judi You can do it from an iphone but you have to type it out yourself.
I know, but the letters are sometimes so small I spell it wrong. :-( (I used to eb the one with the best eyes in the room )
@Judi I was never the one with the best eyes but now I have the thickest glasses. Its a poor compromise
@Judi
You’re still using the Fluther app? If you open a page in Safari you can read in landscape mode where it’s a little larger.
You can also click on links which ppl include in their posts. The Fluther app doesn’t allow this.
Once I realized all of this I permanently deleted the Fluther app. If they ever update it I may give it another try but it just hinders the experience so much I just keep a Safari page open to it permanently.
In my opinion the primary purpose of the app is to acquaint ppl with the existence of Fluther. Other than that it’s pretty useless IMHO.
That’s how I discovered the existence of Fluther but after being totally frustrated by the experience (compared to how much more could be done on the computer version) it finally occured to my dim little brain that I didn’t HAVE TO use it just because I was on the iPhone.
