Is it just me (now I’m asking for it), or is anybody else a little annoyed about this release of UFO data by the British Government receiving a spin treatment into mainstream media like a sound bite off Comedy Central?

Spin is certainly the accurate approach to this subject whenever the mainstream attempts to report a UFO story to us. I wonder why?

Can you provide a link to the relevant information? Some of us don’t know to what you are referring.
I haven’t heard about this either. Linky?
I always like to keep an open mind on things. While I’m not against the idea of aliens dropping by for a visit, I find it highly unlikely that they would. But I’d be all for it.
Yeah, dude, where’s the link?
OK, in terms of spin, I found the UFO website the most shrill and offputting.
The newspaper accounts seemed factual and not dismissive. The BBC writer seemed like a skeptic, but again acknowledged 5–10% were unexplained. He also said not much investigating was done by the British authorities.
I guess I do not see any dismissing or trivializing when I read those accounts.
The original story I heard was on CNN – The Situation Room, yesterday afternoon. 8.17.09. Wolf and his info-mates made it a light and frothy segue item, highlighting only some of the absurd reports and flashing a collection of cartoon drawings, making the story a punch-line.
And, I knew if I let it linger out in the Flutherland long enough, overnight, the collective would respond by demanding links and digging deeper for the truth – so Bravo to my curious colleagues! This is what I call a productive spin. The truth is out there.
The truth will never fully be out there, i really doubt the Ministry of Defence would release EVERYTHING .
@FB Not providing the relevant info so we would “dig for it” isn’t actually a great way to get a response to your question, for what it’s worth.
Got it, Shilolo. I’ll try not to have as much fun next time.
I’m glad we could be of service to you. Next time, I’ll know not to bother answering.
@FB Was it really that much fun having somone else get the credit for your question
